The problem

Buying food has become easy. Managing it once it gets home has not.

Once groceries enter the kitchen, we still do not have a great way to know what we have or what to do with it. We buy things we already own, forget food we meant to use, and struggle to decide what to cook. Trepo brings it all together.

In the store

The third jar of cumin

You are standing in the aisle with no idea what is already in the cupboard, so you buy it again just in case.

At home

The forgotten drawer

Good food goes soft at the back of the fridge, not because you did not care, but because you could not see it.

At 6pm

The nightly stall

You have a fridge full of ingredients and 300 saved recipes, and still no answer to what is for dinner.

Make more of the food you already bought.

How it works

Your kitchen, finally working together

Add groceries from a receipt, fridge photo, or your voice. Trepo keeps track of what is available, recommends recipes, and builds your next grocery list around what is missing.

1

Know what you have

Snap the receipt after a shop, take a photo of the shelf, or just say what you put away. Your kitchen fills itself in and everyone in the house sees the same thing.

2

Cook with what you have

Trepo reads your kitchen against your saved recipes and tells you what you can make tonight, what is close, and exactly which ingredient is standing in the way.

Buy what you need

What ran out and what a recipe is missing land on one list. You shop from what is actually needed instead of guessing in the aisle.

Recipes

Save recipes. See what you can actually make.

Send recipes from TikTok, Instagram, or anywhere else to Trepo. See which ingredients you have, what is missing, and which recipes fit your kitchen now.

  • Share a video or a link straight into Trepo — the ingredients come across with it.
  • Every saved recipe shows how many of its ingredients are already in your kitchen.
  • One tap sends whatever is missing to your grocery list.
  • Keep your own recipes separate from the ones the whole household shares.

Macros

Understand what is on your plate

Take a photo of a meal for a quick calorie and macro estimate without logging every ingredient.

  • Works on what you actually cooked, not a database entry that nearly matches.
  • Estimates, not a food scale — close enough to be useful, honest about being an estimate.
  • Sits alongside everything else, so it is one app instead of a fourth one.

Notes from households that have been running Trepo day to day.

★★★★★

The list building itself is the thing. I used to write groceries on my hand. Now I just tap it when the jar's empty.

My partner actually uses it, which is more than I can say for every kitchen app I've made us try.

Scanning the receipt after a Costco run and having the whole trip show up in the app is a little bit magic.

Questions

Before you start

Do I need the device?
No. Trepo is free to use from your phone — receipts, photos, recipes, the grocery list, all of it. The device adds the hands-free half: voice in the kitchen and step-by-step cooking without picking up your phone.
How does food get into Trepo in the first place?
Three ways, and most households use all three. Photograph a receipt after a shop and the whole trip goes in at once. Take a photo of a shelf or the fridge. Or say it out loud — "put away milk, eggs and a bag of spinach."
Do I have to keep it perfectly up to date?
No, and nobody does. Trepo is built to stay useful when it is roughly right. Receipts do most of the work on the way in, and a tap marks something finished on the way out.
Can my household share one kitchen?
Yes. One kitchen and one grocery list, live on everyone's phone. When someone checks an item off in the store, it disappears for everyone.
Is there an Android app?
Not yet. Trepo is on iPhone today and the Android waitlist is open at hellotrepo.com/android — we will email you the day it is ready.
When would my device ship?
Batches 1 through 4 are sold out. Orders placed now are estimated to ship in 2 to 3 weeks, and you will get a tracking email when yours goes out.
